The tournament on UDisc is called “Cowpie Classic 2024”
A link to the tournament is here: https://udisc.com/events/cowpie-classic-2024-CTFqIn
Find the tournament, register, then start a card for “Round 1” with your group of 3 or more people.
Tournament Format
Tournament will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday, (June 7-9, 2024).
Two rounds of 26 holes will be counted for your final score.
You need to complete at least one round on either Friday or Saturday.
You can play as many rounds as you’d like on Friday and Saturday, and your best round will be counted for the tournament. See the “Entry Fee” section for how this will work with payments.
On Friday or Saturday, you can start your round at any time from 6:30 AM until 4:00 PM. No rounds starting after 4:00 PM.
You must have at least 3 players on your card for each round.
All rounds should start at hole 1.
If you are starting right after another group, please give them at least a 22 minute head start. This will ensure there are no backups.
If there are backups, it is OK to play through. Just be courteous and common sense out there.
Sunday will have assigned Tee Times based on divisions and scores. *
Tee times will vary based on the number of players.
- 40 or less will have the 1st tee time at 8:00
- 41-50 will have the 1st tee time at 7:15
- 51-60 will have the 1st tee time at 7:00
Order of tee times on Sunday:
- Open Pro (MPO)
- Masters 40+ (MP40)
- Masters 50+ (MP50)
- Open Pro Women (FPO)
- Advanced (MA1)
* It is possible that we have a shotgun start on Sunday if there are a low number of players.
Entry Fees
Payment will be taken inside the hunting cabin on the course. Payment is via the honor system. Cash or Venmo accepted.
$60 Entry Fee for all divisions. This pays for two rounds (one on Friday or Saturday and one on Sunday)
- $50 goes towards payouts
- $5 goes towards ND State Tournament
- $5 goes towards tournament expenses and gift cards as a “Thank You” for the land owners
$20 Additional for any rounds above the initial 2 rounds.
Example:
- You play a round on Friday morning, but think you can score better and decide to play another round Saturday morning.
- You come back Saturday morning and pay $20 before playing your round.
- You finish your Saturday morning round and scored exactly the same. You want to play another round to redeem yourself.
- You pay another $20 and play your third round and score better. Yay!
- In this example, the player paid $60 for the initial entry and $40 for the additional two rounds for a total of $100.
- $15 will go towards payouts, $2 to ND State Tournament, and $3 towards tournament expenses.
Location & Camping
The Cowpie Classic Course can be found here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/PTGwpX8XooiWS3ye8
Keep driving West past the red entry gate until you come into the course.
If you have a low-clearance vehicle, park just inside the red entry gate in the grass and walk in.
If you have a higher clearance SUV or truck, please feel free to drive in and park next to the barbed wire fence on the course.
Camping is allowed on-site, but please ask Joey first.
Amenities (or Lack Thereof)
You are expected to be self-sufficient on the course.
Bring TONS of water. There will be some 5-gallon containers of water throughout the course, but bring enough of your own to survive a 4-5 hour round on difficult terrain.
There is NO running water on-site.
Bring your own snacks for energy on the course.
There is an outhouse and toilet paper near the cabin. Otherwise, the world is your oyster when it comes to restroom services.
There is no electricity on the course, so you are responsible for charging your stuff elsewhere.
Player Gathering
On Saturday, June 8th at 6:15 PM, we will be having a player gathering at the course. The main food (pulled pork sandwiches, beans, chips, watermelon and maybe some sweets) and drinks (water, pop) will be provided.
If you would like to chip in, please bring a side dish to share with the group, potluck style. Thank you in advance for those that bring something to share!
If you are still playing on the course at this time, don’t worry! There will be plenty of food waiting for you when you’re done.
After we eat, we will be hanging out and getting a bonfire rolling. Come or stay and hang out that night and tell disc golf stories of yore.
